why we don't always get everything done

So it started like any other day, dog and child got up at seven. Fiona gave Barkley a cookie and wanted one of her own. There were none. So with Grammy's help they made peanut butter cookies. Then ran down and needed a nap. This afternoon it will start all over again. Ain't life grand.

Summer ends with a wonderful weekend.

Well, again summer is ending and I am thinking of all the things I wanted to do. However, the things we did do were wonderful. Lots of time at the beach, a birthday visit with Aunt Punkin, and much township excitement. We have worked on the house this summer some of it planned and some that we did not expect. We had the porch rebuild and as a result found we had carpenter ants which let to new lumber in various outdoor sites. All in all it looks great.

We are fighting the battle of the dishwasher now (new one needed) I bought the one we have now with my 1993 Bell Tel strike money. Then a new stove for the kitchen, and maybe a new TV. then I am done spending money for awhile. Barkley has really enjoyed his summer. He loves having the Willis's back but thinks he doesn't get enough time. He loves kids so much. Well, we are off to town. Hope all of are friends and family have a safe, fun filled holiday.
